Clover Loco is the newly developed perennial food plot blend to help you bring in and keep deer on your property through the summer months and into the early fall. It contains a mixture of 3 varieties of premium clover seed (Colt Clover, Crimson Clover and Ladino Clover) and doesn't contain a lot of filler seed, weed seed or inert matter like many of the competitors' products. This premium clover mix is easy to plant, fast growing and will provide your deer with balanced nutrition. Clover Loco has been developed by The Healthy Herd LLC, which is a supplier of top quality deer mineral and food attractants and food plot seed blends. Available as 2.5lb bags and each bag plants 1/4 acre.
Planting Directions/Recommendations:
1. At least 2 weeks prior to planting, prepare the seed bed. Spray and/or plow and disc soil to kill off all competing vegetation.
2. Perform a soil test and add lime and fertilizer as recommended. Soils with a pH of 5.8-7.0 will give the best results.
3. Seed at a rate of 2.5lbs per 1/4 acre into well-drained, heavier soils with good moisture holding capacity. Seed should not be planted at a depth greater than 1/4 inch deep. Broadcasting the seed and then dragging and/or packing the soil to obtain good seed-to-soil contact is ideal.
4. Best planted in the spring/early summer.
5. Clover Loco will tolerate light shade, but should receive at least 4-6 hours of sunlight a day. Once established, fertilize once or twice a year and add lime as recommended for best results.
